Sweet potato is a food security crop that can be grown nearly in all parts of the country. Aside from it being a less labour intensive crop, the yellow fleshed sweet potato offers higher returns to it's farmers as its sold at Sh6500 compared to it's counterpart orange fleshed sweet potato sold at Sh5000 for a 90Kg bag.
